Come this June, The Diva Lounge host, Lady B from NYC is hosting a special episode in which fans from all over; as well as herself will pay tribute to a great musician who we here at the HybridStarz Radio Network call Country Music's Triple H; the handsome, hilarious hillbilly, BLAKE SHELTON!

 

Lady B has been dubbed THE BLAKE SHELTON BIRTHDAY BASH!

 

Lady B needless to say has been very methodical in the creation of this episode. She has been on the look out for fanartists (a fan+artist) who have done covers to Blake's songs that would do him justice. The fanartists who have been selected, will get their cover aired LIVE on the show. So far, she has now a total of 8 artists within the first two weeks of searching and needs about 5 more to complete the Lucky 13 covers done of Blake Shelton songs!

 

The remaining songs Lady B is looking for are as followed:

- KISS MY COUNTRY ASS

- HEAVY LIFTIN'

- NOBODY BUT ME

- DRINK ON IT

- SOME BEACH!

 

When asking Lady B why she wanted to not host a tribute show till June, she had this to say:

 

"Well, The Diva Lounge usually airs on Wednesdays. This year, it turns out that June 18th; which is Blake Shelton's birthday, happens to land on a Wednesday. So I said to myself, if I'm going to host a show on that date, it is IMPERATIVE that I don't just merely give a shoutout. If I'm going to host a show and it is the birthday of my NUMBER 1 Favorite country singer, I HAVE to go all out for it! One thing that crossed my mind was having fans of his to contribute in some way. So I thought, hey...why not make a list of my 13 all time FAVORITE Blake Shelton songs and see if people have done kick-ass covers to them. I can play they live on the air as a way to show how much love and respect his fans have for him by doing covers and doing the songs justice. It's not going to be easy, but I know I can find my Lucky 13 Blake List fanartists <---(fan+artist). I just hope that by the grace of God Blake himself tunes in (giggles). But in all seriousness, this is going to be a great show. I appreciate everyone so far who has granted me permission to play their covers. They truly are loyal BSers and I'm proud of all of their hard work to make sure they do right by Blake and his songs."

 

Needless to say, Lady B is sparing no expense to make this one of her biggest shows yet! So you really DO NOT want to miss it...because from what we here at the network have heard...she has a couple of surprises in store for this evening as well. She's been doing a pretty good job at keeping it hush-hush...but from what she tells us, it's going to be awesome!
